BRSCMC®
Carboxymethyl Cellulose
High purity sodium carboxymethyl cellulose providing efficient filtration control and rheology enhancement in water based fluids.

What BRSCMC Is
Also known as: Carboxymethylcellulose, CMC, Sodium CMC, Cellulose Gum.
BRSCMC is an anionic cellulose ether with a macromolecular structure. It is an odorless, tasteless, and non toxic white or slightly yellowish free flowing powder that dissolves readily in water to form a high viscosity colloidal solution.
What It Does
In drilling fluids, BRSCMC acts as a viscosifier, flow control agent, and filtration reducer. It provides strong cuttings suspension capacity, cleans the borehole, stabilizes the wellbore, protects the drill bit, and forms a thin, low permeability filter cake.
